Chemical potential of a component in ideal solution by Raoult's law (given mole fraction)

Formula

Chemical potential of a component in ideal solution by Raoult's law (given mole fraction) formula
mui
chemical potential of component i in ideal solution
muistar
chemical potential of pure i
xi
mole fraction of the component i in the mixture (solution)
R
gas constant
T
temperature

Formula description

The vapor pressure of an ideal solution is dependent on the vapor pressure of each chemical component and the mole fraction of the component present in the solution. During the procedure of forming the solution, there is a change in the chemical potential of each component.
